About me
Hi there! My name is Elizabeth Stone. I'm an aspiring UX Designer who enjoys learning about human interaction and product design. I have 9+ years of experience in graphic design and 2+ years of experience in marketing and web design. I'm the person on the team who is eager to answer questions, do more research, and help others succeed. I enjoy immersing myself in new topics and thinking through unique problems.
More Details...
Over the last few years, I have been investing in myself to better understand the Design Thinking process and the importance of UX and empathy in design. I have also been exploring UI Design and Front-End Development to better understand how developers implement design and functionality through code. In May 2018, I started designing in a freelance capacity to give myself the opportunity and flexibility to refocus my career goals and further develop my user-centered design skills through Interaction Design Foundation classes. These classes, along with focused personal projects, have valuably strengthened my empathy and critical thinking skills.
This self-driven educational journey has challenged me to move beyond production design. I want to actively collaborate on user-focused design strategy and user advocacy. Whether it is through marketing, interaction design, or product design, I want to help solve problems that are core to the needs of the user being targeted.
Beyond Work...
I explore my creative side through painting and DIY projects. I am an avid reader. I love to travel and explore new places. I am most happy spending time outdoors hiking, running, and exploring beautiful Colorado with my husband and our two dogs.
